Samastipur College, Samastipur, a constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, was established during independence of India in 1947 by the collective financial help of the great visionary villagers of Samastipur Subdivision including my grandfather, late Raghunandan Singh. I am proud to be the Principal of this College. This college has been providing quality education to our youth irrespective of caste, creed or gender. Over a span of decades, this college has grown into a premier institution of higher education up to PG level in teaching and research in Bihar. Samastipur College has sought to keep up with the changing times and provides to meritorious students opportunities to secure jobs at national and international platforms. This college imparts 16 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate courses. IGNOU Study Centre already exist in this college campus.

Recently this college has received approval for Distance Education in many subjects from the university and these courses are expected to start very soon. Along with this, the college offers different extra-curricular activities like sports, cultural events, NCC, NSS to its students. Our faculty members also act as students’ mentors to guide and counsel them as and when required. Students are expected to be creative and innovative.

Any young person seeking admission in this premier institution must not only aim to scour good marks, but must also have a larger goal and aspiration to achieve and flourish in life. They should maintain discipline in the college campus.

Use separate Application Form for each course applied for. The available list of courses with offered subject combinations are given in prospectus. Go through the Eligibility Criteria before application.

Fill-in the form correctly and paste recent photograph and submit within the notified date.

Payment of Fees: Collect fees payment voucher from the college office and deposit the fees in cash at bank counter of college.
