Ramcharitra Singh College Manjhaul Begusarai stands as a constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (Bihar), accredited by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, under 12 (B). The college was founded in 1965 under the visionary leadership of Sri Bodhan Prasad Singh, who served as the inaugural Principal. Satya Narayan Singh of Manjhaul Market generously covered the affiliation fees for Bhagalpur University. Akhileshwar Babu, the President of the College Committee, contributed land for the establishment of this academic institution.

Integral to the college's foundation were individuals such as Siya Babu, Radha Babu, Harbansh Babu, Harihar Babu, Ram Deo Raj, Dr. K.D.P. Singh, and Bhola Babu. In 1967, Satyadeo Babu played a pivotal role in furthering its development. During the 1970s, the college underwent relocation, initially occupying a thatched cottage and later temporarily housed in a Middle School.
