Millat College was founded on October 17, 1956. The foundation and establishment of Millat College, Darbhanga is a result of dedication, conviction and vision of the people, who realized the importance of modern and scientific education of Muslims and built it stone by stone making one sacrifice after another. Millat College started as the first Muslim Minority college of Bihar, founded by Hafiz Dr. Abdul Hafeez Salfi, a visionary and charismatic leader, scholars and ducationists who laid stone on October 17, 1956 at Shafi Muslim School, Darbhanga. He also advocated and sought support to start the college, the congregation ended with the resolution and formation of an Organizing Committee to establish the College namely “Millat College”.

Millat College was established with a vision to produce a society of learned and aware individuals who can contribute to the overall development of the society by acquiring in-depth knowledge of various disciplines through higher education.

The candidates selected for admission in the college must be present on the date of admission and apply on the prescribed Admission Form, form and Prospectus is available in the College Office.
At the time of admission candidates must submit following documents (original and attested photo copy) along with the Admission Form:
- Class 10th marksheet / Certificate
- Original and attested copy of Marks Sheets of qualified exam.
- Character Certificate, and the School/College Leaving Certificate of the institution last attended.
- Three passport size color photographs.
- Caste Certificate for S.C., S.T. and OBC/EWS candidates issued by the competent authority. (if applicable)
- Migration Certificate (if applicable).
- Income Certificate
- Aadhar Card Copy
- Fee for One Year (Fee structure is available in College office).
- Exam Admit Card.
