B M College Rahkia was established in the month of July, 1971 with co-operation of the local people of the village Rahika and it went on flourishing with the wisdom and generosity of Late Krishna Chandra Jha alias Bhinai Jha and shri Digamber Pathak.

Gangadhar Jha as the President of the Governing Body of the college contributed much to the glorious development of the college. However , credit goes to shri Digamber Pathak as he donated a precious patch of land in acres along Rahika, Madhubani main road.

To impart futuristic professional & general education to install high pattern of discipline through our dedicated staff, making our students superior & ethically strong just to improve the quality of life of the human race. To educate students from all over India including those from rural backward area of our country so that they become enlightened individual, improving the standards of their families & society. We are trying our best to provide quality education with character building. A hostel is a place where students usually live and which is managed or controlled by administration. Hostel is basically for those who have to shift to other cities for their studies.
After schooling, student moves towards colleges, it may be possible that colleges in which they want to study, may be in the same city or not. If colleges of their choice are not in the same city, then they have to visit into other city for their study.

The aims and objectives of Hostel are as following-

To provide a home for students and to help new arrivals to become adjusted to the new environment
To offer the right atmosphere for study and interchange of thoughts and ideas.
To create awareness to social and moral values for improving the quality of life through education.

In the month of January 2017 the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shree Nitish Kumar launched Bharat Net Scheme in the state of Bihar. Later on in the month of March the state government announced about the free Wi-Fi service in colleges across the state. On 22nd March 2017, on the occasion of 105th year of Bihar Divas the scheme was officially launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of the state. As of now more than 2,00,000 students have registered under the scheme.
